What is Part A?
The last benefit that is covered under original Medicare Part A is Hospice. Hospice Services are rendered to people who are terminally ill, meaning a life expectancy of six months or less. Hospice Services can be received either in the comfort of your home or at a hospice facility. Regardless of the reason why a person receives Hospice Services, Medicare covers it 100%.

So these are your core benefits under Medicare Part A. And again as long as you worked those 40 credits then your Part A will not have a monthly premium. For folks such as teachers who do not qualify for Medicare Part A but want to buy into it, they will have a monthly premium and out-of-pocket costs based on the Medicare standards for the current year.
